    Ouya Handheld W.I.P.

So a couple of years ago I worked on a handheld battery powered PC project that turned out to be a bit of a failure; it wouldn't run for longer than 30mins.

So for a while now I've been wanting to go back and use those parts to create a handheld Ouya. I hesitate to call this guy a "portable" since its not THAT portable.

This is just my first stab at figuring out where all the components will go and all of my cables and leads are long. When I do one of these builds I usually keep everything long till i'm comfortable with where the components are. Also the screen is kind of mediocre, hopefully someone out there can get me a lead on a 7"-8" screen that's 720p or better with its own controller.

I'll update this as I continue working on it. I also post updates, build logs on my FB page and on Instagram. Both are specializationisoverrated

    Next steps:
    -cut all leads down
-take a second stab at a component layout and overall case

Thanks guys. Ordered a couple of smaller screens, this thing is too big.

The problem is I don't have enough time on my hands for this. I just don't sleep much. Kind of wish I were 15 again with a summer vacation or something ahead of me.

This is great! Looking forward to following a long, regardless of what does or doesn't come out of it - it's sweet already. Good job!

Looks interesting...but more uncomfortable than the Wii U gamepad.

Though I'd like to see where this project goes, so keep us updated.

The WiiU pad is actually pretty good (for most games). I think I'd still prefer the screen above the pad (like the Shield), but I love the idea.

Keep up the excellent work and don't forget to keep us informed about your progress

@Max Lazy10 Lol! Its definitely a little unwieldy in its current config. IDK, everyone I know who has a wiiU says the gamepad isn't half bad.

@iprice You know, I didn't even consider a screen on top config. Always thought that would be a little unbalanced. Might try it once I get the new screen, the current one is too heavy (with its controller) to be placed anywhere but centered between the gamepad grips.
